Oklahoma’s 2024 Collectible Christmas Ornament
This year’s collectible Christmas ornament offers a stunning bird’s-eye view of the Oklahoma Governor’s Mansion’s stately dining room. Encased by original, beautifully paneled walls, the room exudes timeless elegance and is home to many of the state’s cherished historic treasures.
One of the standout features is the set of intricately carved wooden chairs, each adorned with a handcrafted needlepoint cushion created by volunteer artists from across Oklahoma. These cushions proudly display the state seal and the emblems of the Five Civilized Tribes, adding rich historical significance to the setting.
At the heart of the room, the dining table, a staple since the mansion’s completion in 1928, takes center stage. Originally designed to seat six guests, it has been expanded three times to host now comfortably fourteen. On the table, you’ll find the official State of Oklahoma China, crafted by Lenox, with a festive mistletoe border—perfect for the holiday season.
The room’s beauty is further enhanced by a handmade rug featuring the names of Oklahoma’s thirty-nine Native American tribes, a tribute to the state’s extensive Native heritage and its origins as Indian Territory.
This 2024 ornament is the latest in a beloved series, issued annually by Friends of the Mansion, Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to the restoration and preservation of Oklahoma’s Governor’s Mansion and its grounds.
Governor Kevin Stitt and First Lady Sarah Stitt extend their warmest wishes for a Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year to all!
